7 Months

OK OK I know it's been a REALLY long time since my last blog and I have lots to catch up - without football on every Sunday time has just flew by and I just haven't been on, sorry.
Peyton is getting SO big! She's 7 months old, has 2 bottom teeth, sits on her own and is so close to starting to crawl. She goes from sitting to all 4 just doesn't move but she's figured out how to pull herself up onto thing.
She has her first cold now, 7 months with no sicknesses, I think that is pretty good!
Here are her 7 month old photos. They were supposed to be her 6 month old photos but I'm a little behind on that as well.
I promise I will be back with more updates and photos from the past 5 months- sorry it's been so long!

Some updates

Here are some updates and some photos of Peyton so everyone can catch up with out growing little one.
She is growing like crazy and talking up a storm.
She doesn't not like the reclined position, it's either sitting straight up, standing, or laying on her back to play. I can't believe how grown up she is starting to look, no more little baby, she's already turning into little miss independent.
She's also pre-teething. Everything and anything goes right in the mouth. She chews on her hands, my hands, whatever she can get into her mouth, and we have a drooler!
Thank goodness she's only had a few fussy moments so far with her teething.
She eats like crazy too- every 3-4 hours it's 6 ounces, we are going to start her on rice cereal soon. She likes to roll onto her side when she has something laying next to her that she wants to talk to- namely Pooh and she has rolled from her tummy to her back once or twice she really wants to roll over though, so it's only a matter of time. She does know that she can move to get places though. I will put her in ther crib to play and after a little bit she will move her way around. But her favorite thing to do is watch her sports with her daddy while she chews on her hands.
Her next apt is Feb 5th for her 4 month check up, so we will see how much she has grown then.
Here are some photos of Peyton since Christmas
First time in her jumper (just yesterday1/23)- she loved playing with the toys and loved it when I would bounce her up and down. She can't quite reach the ground yet, but that's not stopping her from having fun.
Little sleeping Peyton
She loves to find this little hole in Papa's arms
This is how she watches the Vikings games :)Daddy had his first day with her with his new hours, so it was the first time that R got to pick out what Peyton was wearing on his own and what did he pick- her Wild outfit. But he did put pink socks on her so that everyone would know she's a girl. :)
She loves to lay on Great Grandma's bed
Look at how big she looks here. Growing out of her 0-3 month old pants...
But she sure knows how to smile.
And her new thing is talking- always some kind of noise coming out of her. Grunting and Oooing are her new favorite things to do. My Friend Rose drove out to see us a couple weekends ago, it was so nice to see her.
She came to hang out with me and R but you know the real reason was to see this little cutie!
Tummy Time!
I set her down in the corner of the couch and withing 30 seconds I looked over at her and there she was sleeping.
Sitting in my Chair - she loves to sit in her chair. It allows her to sit up and be independent all in one!

Spike

R put Spike together and played with him as soon as he could!
Peyton liked him a lot more then I thought she would, she just stared at him.R can't wait for Peyton to get older so that the 2 of them can play with him together.
Here are some pics of them playing with her the first time.

Thanks again Santa :)

Look at that smile on R's face, that says it all about how excited R is about Spike

Peyton just stares at Spike

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was so much fun, many places to go and when the day was all said and done we were all worn out but it was the best Christmas yet.
We started out at home where Santa came and left R and Peyton and extra special gift. Then we went to the Farm where Santa visited again. Then down to Jay and Nancy's to open gifts with everyone there and then back to the farm for our Christmas night.
When Christmas was all said and done, we had 6 black garbage bags full of gifts for the 3 of us (mostly Peytons!) but it took 2 days after to get everything put away
Here are some pictures
Santa brought this extra special gift early on Christmas Eve- it was at the house when we got home from Christmas in Deleno. I know this made R's Christmas.
Bubba helped Peyton open up her Santa presents that were under the tree. He was very interested in what was going on. He was also so excited to take the paper. For once he didn't care about the Toys
But now with all the toys, we have a new challenge, getting Bubba to understand which toys are his and which are Peytons! Opening gifts at the farm- Peyton got a bouncing horse from Uncle Cody. So much more advanced then the ones we use to have, this one sings and neahs Peyton in her cute Christmas dress!
And I can't wait till next year now cause Peyton got her Christmas dress for next year already from all the Troupes and Evensons! Thanks guys, I know it made my Christmas more then it will make hers- I'm so excited! Peyton loves Winne the Pooh- every time she sees him she gets a huge smile on her face. Peyton timed her naps Christmas day with gift openings.
She took a nap on the way down to Jay and Nancy's, then when we took a break to eat lunch her and Papa took a nap here, and then after we opened here she took a nap until everyone came out to the farm, waking up just in time to open gifts every time- she didn't sleep threw one present! Ryan and Peyton
My little reindeer antlers! Grandma and Grandpa Grandma and Papa got Peyton this little Dora 4wheeler- wait till she gets going on this, R is going to need one just to keep up with her.Now there is trouble! They all just look like they are up to something.
Wait till next Christmas when they are all running around.
Ava had to hold her Peyton! They look so cute in their Christmas dresses. Nikki and Peyton
Peyton with Papa
No pictures, Grandma has them all, but we did Christmas with my parents and brother the day after Christmas at their house. Another bunch of gifts for the spoiled little girl!

Thanks everyone for a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Peyton's 1st Christmas was a fun one, she is one spoiled little girl
We went to the farm and had Christmas with everyone there, It was her 1st time meeting Tina, Brett, Chelsea and Cole.
Then we drove threw the nasty storm all the way to Deleno for the Vanderlinden's Christmas Eve at Great Grandma and Grandpa Vans.
It was the first on 2 long days but she was into every min of it. I can't wait till next year when she understands more about what is going on.
This was my favorite Christmas outfit she had. The butt had an ornament that said "Merry X-mas" and the shirt says "KISS ME" and in fine print under that it says "five dollars for the first kiss, two dollars for every kiss after taxes may apply" - Grandma and Papa owe Peyton A LOT of money!
We found ourselves a babysitter! When I need one I know who to call! Chelsea held Peyton all through dinner, I think she took 2 naps while she was holding her. Savannha found a new friend and they looked so cute together! For 2 1/2 months old, Peyton was WAY into opening her gifts, she would grab the paper and pull on it while I pulled the other way and she was interested in everything that was under the paper.
Christmas came in just the right time as Peyton was just getting interested in toys a week before Christmas and since she didn't have many it was perfect. Can't say she didn't have anything to play with after everything she got- Thanks everyone!

At the Vanderlinden's Christmas was fun- Peyton was the center of attention and she loved every min of it. Great Auntie Cherry and PeytonAll dressed in her Christmas PJ's! Grandpa Great :) was the last to hold Peyton but he got the best job, putting her to sleep.

1st Vist with Santa

Peyton went to see Santa at MOA on the 21st of Dec.
She was wide awake and just stared at Santa while she sat on his lap.
She didn't talk back to him but just looked at him while he talked to her.
Here's her picture.
(Note to parents that take your kids to see Santa- The below picture cost us $30 only to find out that you can take your own pictures while your kids sit on his lap- you don't have to have them take their photo.... who would have known.. and of course I didn't have my camera with me this day!)
