R's Christmas Decorating

R got to go all Christmas Vacation on the house this year!
Here are some pictures as he finally got it all lit up last night.
Clark: "We're going to have the best looking house in town Russ. I've always wanted to do this." Russ: "It's a lot of lights dad."
Clark: "Yeah well, I'm sure it's a lot of work too. But, I'm out in the cold and I'm commited to decorating the house, I'm going to do it right, and I'm going to do it big. You want something you can be proud of, don't you?"
Russ: "Yeah, I guess so."
Clark: "Sure you do."
Russ: "You think you might be overdoing it dad?"
Clark: "Russ, when was the last time I overdid anything."
Clark: "The house lights don't work, the flood lights don't work."
Ellen: "Well, is it plugged in?"
Clark: "Honey, do you honestly think I would check thousands of little lights if I wasn't sure the extension cord was plugged in." Is your house on fire, Clark?
No, Aunt Bethany, those are the Christmas lights. This is Tim versioin of going all Griswold on our house! Clark: Russ, we checked every bulb, didn't we?
Rusty: Sure, Dad.
Clark: Hmm... Maybe we ought to just go up there and check...
Rusty: Oh, woo. Look at the time. I gotta get to bed. I still gotta brush my teeth, feed the hog, still got some homework to do, still got those bills to pay, wash the car...

Peyton's 1st Halloween

How could I forget to put up pictures of Peyton's first Halloween.

We ordered her lobster costume when on the day she was born from the delivery room, it was a little big but it made for some pretty priceless photos. Yeah some day I'll get the "Mom, I can't believe you put me in a pot" but it will be worth it! She looks so cute. Grandma and Grandma came over and saw Peyton at our house before we left to go trick or treating. Mom got some cute pictures of our little lobster!Great Aunt Kathy sent us this cute Pea Pod coustmes that she made for her.
Peyton just loved laying in the pea pod and kicking. And you can't tell me that she didn't just look as cute as can be in it!

Some Random Photos of Peyton

Since I haven't been keeping up with the blog, here are some photos of Peyton with some stories. I think these will work too get me up to date.
My 1st Christmas outfit!
Yep 32 days till Christmas and she's in her Santa hoodie! My 1st Big Girl PJ's
Okay the only thing big girl about them is that they are 0-3 months instead of newborn but her newborn clothes don't fit no more, she's too long.

I love to lay and kick, Peyton will lay anywhere and just look around while she's kicking.
If I lay her down by the TV, she will lock on to it and you can't turn her away:)
Mama's winning smile pic
R took a pic of her smiling on his phone when she was just 2 weeks old, it was grainy but a pic of her smiling none the less and he gave me so much crap that he had one and I did not.
I got this photo before work one day! I'd say I win.
My little Vikings outfit. She's wore the pants for a couple games but we finally were able to put her in her onesie as well. It worked cause they won that week.

Look at my little personality!
Grandpa's little Cupcake!
Don't worry Grandma's- she's too big to fit in any of the cute Grandma onesies yet- but soon she can wear her "Who needs Santa when I've got Grandma" onesie!
While I was home, Peyton did laundry with Mama.
My 1st 0-3 month old outfit- she's growing up so fast.
Me and My Bubba
Peyton and Bubba have become great friends! She doesn't mind him but any times he see skin, he's all kisses. Wait until she's covered in food or throwing him food on the floor. Give me those hands! We went to Angie's house for dinner and we got to have some fun with CJ, Austin and Angie.
The boys did want to use Peyton as a football and take a series of photos with her as the ball, but Angie and I put a stop to that.
Here's Peyton with Austin! Some Bathtime fun...
My Frist bath- My first bath in my tub- More bath time fun- Peyton loves her baths, she laughs and coos the whole time.
She has yet to fuss during her bathtime yet..

Peyton's 1st Christmas Tree

This weekend we went and got our Christmas Tree.
Yep- that's right, the weekend before Thanksgiving we went to get the tree.
Since the Yard is decorated (pictures to come) we thought it was time to decorate the house too!
While Peyton will not remember this first tree, especially since she slept the whole entire time, we had Daddy actually picked out the tree. Now it's time to decorate it and start at that Christmas shopping.

Peyton's 1st Christmas photo in front of a Christmas Tree... many more to follow!
Ava and Ella were there picking out their tree too.
Ava got a chance to hold "baby" Peyton on the sleigh. While most trees are V shaped, ours this year is U shaped,
but there is room for the tree topper on that one top branch. Sleeping in the car in her snowsuit.

Shutterfly Blog

I know I have been a little behind on updating the blog- life has really gotten the best of me, and I am just enjoying it and playing catch up on here as I can.
But I have gotten a chance to get photos from Peyton's first month up on Shutterfly.
The nice thing about the shutterfly and why I also have that blog, is that anyone can print whatever pictures you want when ever you want to print them.
You can do this from either my shutterfly or I also have a link to my mom's as well on the right side of this blog and anyone else who wants to make a shutterfly account for pics you take of Peyton let me know and I can add you to my list of links and anyone will have access to yours as well.
Hope you enjoy the photos - she is changing and growing so fast!

Great Grandma LaTocha's Visit

Great Grandma LaTocha was able to come up from Arizona to visit Peyton.
We used Grandpa Bart's airline miles to fly her up her for a few days so that she could meet and spend time with Peyton.
On Wednesday Oct. 21st we went to get Great Grandma from the airport and then went to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner. We kept Great Grandma pretty busy while she was here, going shopping, out to eat and just spending as much time as possible with her. We even went down to Grandma's on Sunday and took pictures the 4 Generations together at once! I'm so happy that Grandma was able to come up and spend some time with Peyton, I know it's time that Great Grandma will always remember.
Here are some pics of Great Grandma and Peyton.
Great Grandma at the airport holding Peyton before she had to go back home- we promise she's always dressed like a little girl, but Peyton wanted to give Great Grandma a parting gift and blew out her outfit that she was wearing and this was the outfit that was in the diaper bag as a back up...

Cousins

It is so fun to have cousins that are going to grow up together.
Me and my cousin Lisa are only 6 months different in age and it was so much fun growing up with her and now Peyton is going to be able to have that same experience.
Oh wait, you can't call Peyton just Peyton around Ava, it's "Baby Peyton!"

Here are some pictures of the girls together.

Ava is 22 months, Ella is 6 months and Peyton is 3 weeks and they 3 of them are already showing signs of getting along just fine. Ava likes to whisper right to PeytonElla looks so grown up compared to Peyton.
Peyton here is 2 weeks old and about 9lbs and Ella is almost 6 months old and 16lbsElla isn't the little one anymore but she is sure interested in PeytonAva was singing to Baby Peyton.
The only lyrics she used were the words "Baby Peyton" Ava holding her Baby Peyton for the first time.

Blog Updates...

Okay, I know I'm not the greatest at the blog updates.
I really wanted to update things as they happened but life happens and it is happening WAY too fast. I only have 2 weeks left of maternity leave and the last time the Vikings played the Packers we were in labor and today I sit here with the 2nd game they play together this year on and Peyton will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and I still haven't updated past her 2nd week of birth!
So instead of trying to update at this rate, I am going to work on just updating in general on how our weeks go, I will try to make Sunday my day to update and I will update on what happened during our week instead of what happens everyday!
So on with the updates!
