Some updates!

So it's getting closer and closer every day! I've been pretty bad at updating the blog so I'll update you with a couple of stories.
. . .
R got to feel Peyton kick for the first time about 2 weeks ago while I was eating Ice Cream - yep that's right, I'm teaching her well to grow up with her mothers love for Ice Cream!
Every time I try this with R, she stops kicking- she might kick as soon as he takes his hand off my stomach but she will not kick it with it there, that's what Daddy gets for saying he didn't want a little girl!
But we were laying in bed and I kept feeling her kick so I told R to feel it and he was hesitant to try but after a few moments he was all excited asking was that one? I said no, and he waiting another second and then she kicked and he asked again was that one? and he was so excited he got to feel it! Peyton kicked again and he knew for sure that he had felt her kick!
At that moment, it didn't matter boy or girl, Daddy was SO excited!

We bought the carseat and stroller!
One we couldn't pass up the deal, we ended up getting it at Babies R' Us with 2 15% off coupons making it go from $170 to $130!
The other, we wanted to get it early since Bubba goes everywhere with R in the truck and when Peyton is born, this means he will lose a section of the back seat to her carseat.
Putting the stroller together, Bubba wasn't sure about it, barking at anything that moved. When the stroller what complete, as long as it didn't move, he could careless about it but as soon as it moves it's full on barking. We told him he has to get use to this as it will go on walks with us.
This weekend, we put the carseat in the back seat with him on our ride over to the farm. At first he didn't care, I think he was just excited to go bye-bye and to get treats, but about half way over to the farm that all changed. He started barking at it and tried once to bite it. He looked at both of us like we had taken away his best friend. It's 1/3 of the backseat he's missing... talk about an over dramatic dog. But this means he loses a window and can't get over to the passenger side window to look for people.
R took him for a ride with it again and he tried to bite it some more but with some time I think he will be just fine. Our goal is to get him use to it so that he is use to what his space is in the backseat and doesn't jump up or bark at it, but you know it will all change again when there are noises coming from the carseat!

The 3rd Trimester is here!
Hit my 28th week (I know it's already my 29th week now typing this!)
but I had a little panic attach that Saturday the 11th when I hit the 28th week.
It's the 3rd trimester! I expected the 1st trimester to go okay fast as there wasn't much going on but we found out at 6 weeks and it just seemed to go fast. The 2nd trimester I expected to go by as it did, kind of fast but kind of slow. With not much going on during it but the start of summer and everything still being clam I didn't expect it to go fast. But now we are on the 3rd trimester and I know the time is going to fly, finishing everything for when Peyton gets here, 3 baby showers, summer in full swing with every Saturday booked from here until she gets her, finishing the basement! Oh my the time is going to fly! about 10 more weeks and she'll be here... Wow where did the time go!
. . .
Peyton's room is getting there slowly but a couple weeks ago I made the crib sheet and figured out what I'm doing for the curtain, the dust ruffle and the blanket. So now it's just a matter of finding the time to work on these. It should work good cause R and Bart should start on the closet soon and I can be sewing while they work on turning the closet into a dog house!
. . .
This past weekend, we got all the registering completed!
Friday night we went to Babies R' Us with Ma, Pops and Cody. Pops and Cody went for a walk and found themselves a candy store near by, while we walked around scanning anything we thought we might need or want with Ma!
Then Sunday we went out to my birthday dinner with my parents and stopped at Target with my Mom, Dad and Gerrit. Gerrit walked around doing his thing while Mom and Dad walked around with us as we scanned everything at Target we thought we might want or need there too. This included a Flat Screen TV for Peyton, as R was in charge of the gun here and thought that she might want one for her playroom, not sure who wants it more but he was in charge of the gun so on the registry it went!
Both registries are complete with everything we need so that if someone prefers to shop at one store and not the other, you'll have a full list to choose from. With 3 showers on the way I'm sure we will get a large potion of the things we need, might get doubles but that works to get things we didn't get that we really wanted or needed.
Note to all as well, we didn't register for clothes--- Peyton is good on clothes for "next" summer, but she has nothing for 0-6 months that will keep her warm during the cold winter months, feel free to pick up clothes as well even though they are not on the registry!
. . .
I think that's all the updates for now... As my doctor's apt are now will start at every 2 weeks and things will start getting closer, the showers and updates on getting ready for her arrival, I will be working harder to keep the blog updated as we go!
